Site Builder is one of the core features of Solace and becomes available after installing the Solace Extra plugin. It provides a centralized interface for creating and managing reusable website templates using Elementor.
Solace Extra Free vs. Solace Extra Pro #
The available template types depend on your Solace Extra license.
Solace Extra – Free #
With the Free version, you can create and manage the following templates:

- Header
- Footer
Solace Extra – Pro #
Upgrading to Solace Extra Pro unlocks additional template types, including:

- Header
- Footer
- Blog Single Post
- Blog Archive
- Shop Single Product
- Shop Product Archive
- Purchase Summary
- 404 Page
These templates allow you to fully customize the appearance of your website using Elementor without modifying theme files.
Editing Templates #
All templates created in the Site Builder are built and edited with Elementor.
To edit a template:
- Open Solace → Site Builder from your WordPress Dashboard.
- Locate the template you want to edit.
- Click Edit Part.
The selected template will open in the Elementor editor, where you can customize its layout, content, and styling.
Header & Footer Display Conditions #
Header and Footer templates include an additional feature called Conditions, which controls where a template is displayed on your website.
Two condition types are available:
Include #
The Include condition displays the template only on the selected pages or locations.
Example:
- Display the Header only on the Home page.
- Display a Footer only on WooCommerce pages.
Exclude #
The Exclude condition prevents the template from appearing on selected pages or locations.
Example:
- Hide the Header on the Checkout page.
- Exclude the Footer from Landing Pages.
Conditions provide flexibility when using multiple Header or Footer templates across different sections of your website.
Creating a New Template #
To create a new template:
- Open Solace → Site Builder.
- Click Add New in the upper-right corner.
- Select the template type you want to create.
- Enter a template name.
- Save the template.
